Absinthe

Absinthe - The Renaissance of the Green Fairy

Throughout the ages, absinthe has been shrouded in myths and legends like no other alcoholic beverage. Ostracized and illegal for many decades, it is now again on everyone´s lips as a en vogue drink. Among other psychoactive substances, absinthe contains primarily wormwood (artemisia absinthium). Thujone, its main active ingredient, is held responsible for the creativity-enhancing and relaxing properties much appreciated by the artists of the Bohème. Toulouse-Lautrec, Baudelaire, Manet, Rimbaud, Verlaind and Gauguin were among the better known absintheurs.

After decades of ban, absinthe can now again be enjoyed legally. A number of true-to-original accessories revive long forgotten times.
