Myrtle Oil
Myrtus communis
The evergreen shrub with its brilliant white flowers can be found around the Mediterranean Sea. Myrtle has been considered a sacred plant since ancient times and was dedicated to Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The fresh, herbal scent of myrtle oil invites serenity and cheerfulness. It also has expectorant and strong antiseptic properties. The “angel water” obtained by distillation cleanses and tones especially oily skin. Myrtle oil is also used as a natural deodorant.
