Guarana is a vine which is native to the Amazon basin. The fruit contains a high concentration of caffeine. The natives of South America have used Guarana for centuries as a mood enhancer as well as providing an increase in both mental and physical performance. The caffeine in Guarana, unlike that in coffee, is bound to tanning agents, which cause it to disperse slower and offer a long sustaining, harmonious energy. Guarana also contains fibre, vegetable proteins, carbohydrates, minerals and polyunsaturated fats, which make it an ideal, energizing supplement.
Our Guarana powder comes from the Brazilian developmental aid project ONCA and is grown organically and to fair trade standards. The fruits are harvested by hand, sun-dried and ground without the shell. The content is 100 % pure Guarana powder.
Preparation: 1 tsp Guarana powder in fruit juices, muesli, milkshakes or in hot beverages, as a grain(malt) coffee, cocoa or tea (do not use boiling water).
