Maca is a millennia old, cultural plant of the Incas and is treasured by the inhabitants of Peru as a vitalising food for a very long time. Maca only grows in the Peruvian Andes at altitudes exceeding 4000m . The intense sun, the strong winds and the low temperatures in this mountain region give the Maca root a very high biological significance. It is rich in sugars, proteins, vitamins and essential minerals. As a result, Maca is presently considered to be an excellent supplement for strengthening both physical and mental capacity.
Our Maca is certified organic but with traditional seeding techniques that date back to the Incas. Because of the careful growing practices and through the natural drying processes (3 months in the sun), we are able to provide a Maca powder of extraordinary quality.
Preparation: 1 to 2 tsp Maca powder in juice or other beverages, or stirred into yoghurt or Muesli.
