Mace (Nutmeg)
Myristica fragrans
Mace is the name given to the seed coat of the fruit of the Indonesian nutmeg tree. The aromatic mace probably first came to Europe with the Crusaders, where it found many uses as a remedy and spice. It is also an excellent incense with mind-expanding, visionary properties. It is also excellent for oracles. Mace is dosed sparingly in mixtures with other herbs and spices.
