Azadirachta indica
Originally from India, the neem tree from the mahogany family is called the "divine tree" in classical Ayurvedic texts. Neem is especially known for its anti-inflammatory, immune-strengthening properties. The fine, bitter-aromatic smoke of the leaves protects against diseases and negative energies. It has a purifying effect, gives courage and protects against the evil eye. Neem leaves are mainly burned in mixtures.
